Ivory Coast_Synchronization of NSDS and National development Plan

For the financing of its last NSDS, Ivory Coast is carrying out an interesting experiment integrating NSDS in the country’s economic development strategy document. The 2009-2013 NSDS has been updated again to cover the same period as the National Development Plan (2012-2015 NDP). The development of the national statistical system, which is regarded as a priority in the same way as that of other sectors, is dealt with systematically in each of the four volumes that make up the 2012-2015 NDP: at the level of the diagnosis, the vision (“Ivory Coast as an emerging country in 2020”) and the detailed matrix of priority actions. In total, 71.5% of the global financing of the 2012-2015 NSDS is covered in the NDP.
